Enrolment Information

Sorrento Primary School is a local intake school which means that all compulsory aged children who live in the intake area are guaranteed enrolment.

Please refer to our local intake area map. On occasion we are able to accept applications for enrolment for students living outside the local intake area, but this is dependent upon room being available within our current class structure.

To enrol at Sorrento PS you will need to complete an Application for Enrolment form. The following information is also essential and must be provided at the time of enrolment.

  • Birth certificate;
  • Identity documents;
  • Immunisation certificate (dated with the last 2 months);
  • Court orders if applicable;
  • Proof of address;
  • Student’s most recent school report
  • Emergency contact details;
  • Details of any disability;
  • Any ongoing medical condition and procedure to be followed during the school day. A Health Care Authorisation must be completed.

The process of enrolment provides more information on enrolling at our school.

Please refer to the table below to determine the year level students will be enrolled in.

If your child is currently enrolled in Kindergarten, you will need to re-enrol them for their next year of schooling.

Sorrento Primary School community actively encourages the wearing of school uniforms and strongly recommends that all items are clearly labelled and identifiable. A uniform dress code reinforces in students a sense of pride in their own appearance, instils recognition of themselves as an integral part of the school community, and assists in developing pride in representing their school.

You can find pricing and ordering information on our uniform shop page, and you can download our school uniform policy.

To enable the school to maximise the quality of the learning program for students requires the provision of resources and activities. The provision of these resources and activities is, in part, met by voluntary contributions and charges. These voluntary contributions and charges are permitted by the Education Act and approved by the School Board. Your support in payment of voluntary contributions and charges benefits students and is sincerely appreciated.
